What:The 5th Annual It’s A Family Affair! is a 21st century musical wonderland and one of South Florida’s premier events for families. Conducting Fellow Joshua Gersen will lead the audience on a musical journey exploring John Williams’ celebrated film scores from Star Wars, ET and more. After the concert, adults and kids will explore the New World Center, enjoying more than 16 different hands-on musical activities and surprise performances. Like all Kids@NWS programs, It’s A Family Affair! is hosted by the New World Symphony’s talented and engaging Fellows.

Why: NWS Community Outreach programs provide the gift of classical music to more than 12,000 students in Miami-Dade County and abroad each year. Proceeds from ticket sales, patronage and a silent auction help underwrite these programs.
