Soprano Christine Goerke and bass-baritone Alan Held, two of the world’s most pre-eminent Wagnerian singers, debut with MMF’s inaugural Miami Wagner Institute. The first year of this unprecedented program culminates with a concert featuring excerpts from Wagner’s Die Walküre and more. Amongst the world’s most in-demand Wagnerians, Goerke (“Brünnhilde” in upcoming productions at the Metropolitan Opera), and Held (“Wotan” in productions at the Canadian Opera Company and Washington National Opera) are joined by participants from the Wagner Institute alongside the MMF Symphony Orchestra. This concert will also feature Strauss’ Suite from Der Rosenkavalier.
Join us immediately following the concert for an intimate reception with soloists Ms. Goerke and Mr. Held, along with cast and creative teams to celebrate the Miami Wagner Institute¹s debut performance, held at the New World Center¹s rooftop garden and donor lounge. $100 VIP ticket purchase required for admission.
