NWS recently welcomed 57 talented young instrumentalists to join Fellows on stage for its Side-by-Side Concert. It was the joyous culmination of months of auditions, mentoring and preparations, as well as the ensemble’s return to the New World Center. The young musicians were selected from over 100 applicants, represented 22 schools and other learning centers across South Florida, and made up one of the largest Side-by-Side Ensembles in NWS history.

Elyse Marrero, NWS’s Director of Community and Equity Impact, will join Violin Fellow Dominique Bégin and Side-by-Side Ensemble soloist Lilli Theisen to bring Insiders behind the scenes of this special Community Engagement program.
