2019 Summer Highlights at the New World Center
Every summer the New World Center, home of the New World Symphony, (NWC) features an array of guest events, including conferences, multi-day festivals, weddings, receptions, film premieres and more. Recognized as one of the best concert venues in Miami, the NWC provides a completely unique experience.
Here is a recap of some of our recent guests and the special experiences they created at NWC.
American Black Film Festival
For the third year, NWC hosted the American Black Film Festival (ABFF) for four days of screenings, talks and competitions. ABFF is an annual event dedicated to empowering black artists and showcasing quality film and television content by and about people of African descent. For more than two decades the festival has been a platform for emerging black artists, premiering their early work and showcasing the talent of many of today’s most successful actors, producers, writers, directors and stand-up comedians. The festival kicked off this year’s activities in the New World Center performance hall with the film premiere of SHAFT.
