At exactly 5:00 PM on Friday, September 2, individual tickets for the New World Symphony’s 2016-17 performance season will be available for purchase online at www.nws.edu/events.

Sales by phone at 305.673.3331 or Toll Free at 800.597.3331, and in person at the NWS Box Office at New World Center, will begin the day after Labor Day, at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, September 6.

Reservations for NWS' free, ticketed concerts for September will also be available online on Friday at 5:00 PM. These pre-season concerts, which take place September 16-24, include the instrument section-centric Brass Ensemble, String Orchestra and Woodwind Ensemble concerts, along with the Pre-Season Orchestra Concert, led by dynamic guest conductors Michael Sachs, Eric Jacobsen and Edwin Outwater. The month concludes with the first Percussion Consort (paid tickets) of the season – get your heart pumping with our drums thumping!

Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas, new Conducting Fellow Dean Whiteside and an impressive roster of guest conductors lead the New World Symphony’s 29th performance season in a diverse musical lineup spanning many periods and genres, which will appeal to classical music enthusiasts, those new to symphonic music, locals and visitors alike. NWS has something for everyone.

New World Symphony’s 2016-17 season presents such guest artists as pianist Emanuel Ax, soprano Renée Fleming, conductor Teddy Abrams, conductor Bernard Labadie, Jamie Bernstein, conductor H.K. Gruber, percussionist Colin Currie, conductor Peter Oundjian, violinist James Ehnes, cellist René Schiffer, conductor Roberto Abbado, pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, violinist Christian Tetzlaff, conductor Osmo Vӓnskӓ, pianist Garrick Ohlsson,  conductor James Conlon, conductor Juanjo Mena, pianist Ingrid Fliter, conductor Reinbert de Leeuw, violinist Joseph Puglia, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and many more.
