For this year’s Give Miami Day campaign, we’re celebrating 35 years of NWS and our commitment to our South Florida community. With live concerts in the Michael Tilson Thomas Performance Hall at New World Center, SoundScape Park and now online in webcasts powered by Knight Foundation, NWS is bringing South Floridians together and underscoring the importance of the arts in daily life.
This special anniversary season kicked off with a homecoming week with alumni who now perform all over the country, innovative performances with new and returning Fellows, and the momentous announcement of NWS's new Artistic Director, Stéphane Denève.
In the last month, we reached audiences of all ages in person, in SoundScape Park and online. We also welcomed Michael Tilson Thomas, NWS's Artistic Director Laureate, back to Miami for an unforgettable performance at the Adrienne Arsht Center.
This season marked the launch of NWS's new mobile wall, which allows us to fulfill our mission of bringing music to communities across South Florida.
