Aidan Pasquale

Aidan Pasquale is a first-year Bass Fellow at the New World Symphony. He is an avid chamber musician who has performed with members of the New York Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Kelemen Quartet. Most recently, Aidan performed with the Central City Opera in Colorado as Assistant Principal Bass, performing operas by Mozart and Douglas Moore.

Prior to his life in Miami, Aidan studied at the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in the studio of Timothy Pitts. In Toronto, Aidan studied with Jeffrey Beecher, principal double bassist of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and James VanDemark at the Eastman School of Music. While at Eastman, Aidan was awarded the performer’s certificate, the highest honor awarded at the school. He was also a semifinalist at the International Society of Double Bassist Orchestral Competition in 2023.

Aidan plays on a gold medal-winning double bass made by famous American luthier Daniel Hachez, built in 2011. Apart from music, he is an internationally ranked video game speed runner. He also enjoys spending time outside hiking and going to the gym.
