Accessibility at New World Symphony

Accessible parking is available in the Pennsylvania Avenue Garage, located next to the New World Center. There’s a pedestrian bridge on Level 3 that connects directly to New World Center on performance days, opening one hour before showtime. 

The City of Miami Beach now asks disabled guests to register in advance for free/validated parking. Learn more here. 

If you or someone in your party uses a wheelchair or motorized scooter, you will be able to access: 

• All entrances and public areas 

• All performance spaces 

• The rooftop garden (accessible via guest elevators when open) 

When booking your tickets, please let the Box Office know what you prefer: 

• Non-transferable wheelchair seating 

• Removable-armrest seating 

Some seats require advance removal of a fixed chair to accommodate a wheelchair, so booking in advance is strongly recommended. 

A courtesy wheelchair is available free of charge and can be booked in advance by calling 305.673.3331. While NWS staff can assist with the chair itself, consider bringing a companion for personal assistance. 

New World Center performance spaces are equipped with RF assistive listening systems to reduce background noise and amplify sound. 

• ALDs are available free of charge from the Box Office (photo ID required as deposit) 

• Neck loopsets are also available for guests who use hearing aids with t-coils 

If you’d like help using an ALD just ask. An NWS staff member or volunteer will be glad to assist. 

For guests with Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD) or Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), NWS offers a dedicated Sensory-Friendly Room for select performances: 

• A calming space 

• Includes live audio and video feed of the performance 

• Free to use for concert ticketholders 

• Available on select dates or upon request at the Box Office, or by contacting our Front of House Team on-site, they are here to help! 

All restrooms at New World Center include accessible stalls. Gender neutral and family restrooms can be found on the first and second floors, each spacious enough for a guest and care provider. 

ADA-recognized service animals are welcome. Emotional support or comfort animals are not permitted at New World Center.
