Go behind the scenes of American Dance Odyssey and New World Symphony's Choreographic Concerto: a five-part work pairing five of America's leading composers with five visionary choreographers.
On April 17-19, 2026, New World Symphony presented American Dance Odyssey, a celebration of the rich tradition of American dance through a tribute to legendary dancer and choreographer Jerome Robbins and the world premiere of a groundbreaking collaboration between NWS and Miami City Ballet. Led by NWS Artistic Director Stéphane Denève, the Choreographic Concerto is the brainchild of 10 acclaimed American composers and choreographers: Sarah Kirkland Snider and Claudia Schreier; Michael Abels and Pam Tanowitz; Kevin Puts and Brian Brooks; Carlos Simon and Jamar Roberts; and Jennifer Higdon and Tiler Peck.
