Julia Hoffman

First-Year Fellow

Julia Hoffman is a first-year Library Fellow at the New World Symphony. Originally from the Washington DC area, she recently completed her second summer as Ensemble Intern at Interlochen Arts Camp (IAC) in Interlochen, where she had the opportunity to work with the top high school orchestra and many renowned conductors from across the world. She was also Assistant Librarian at Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, collaborating closely with the head librarian and musicians.

Previously, Julia completed two summer internships with The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own” assisting with their music library team and continues to work as a part-time assistant. She began pursuing music librarianship as a career in college, as she worked with the school’s symphony orchestra and assisted librarians for local orchestras, military bands and choir staff in the Harrisburg and Washington DC metro areas.

Julia is a graduate of Messiah University, earning her bachelor of arts in commercial music with a minor in public relations.
