Will Morgan

Will Morgan is a first-year Percussion Fellow at the New World Symphony. He became a member of the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra and performed with nearby ensembles such as the Carmel Symphony Orchestra. Subsequently, he performed at festivals such as Prague Summer Nights and Chautauqua Music Festival.

Originally from Northbrook, Illinois, Will began his formal education at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he studied with Kevin Bobo, John Tafoya and Joseph Gramley who provided him with the diverse musical foundation he has today.

Will pursued his master's degree in San Francisco at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) under the instruction of NWS alum Jake Nissly. While he was in the Bay Area, he fell in love with cycling and hiking around the area. After his first year at SFCM, he spent the summer at Aspen Music Festival before moving to Miami.

One of Will's favorite things about playing percussion is having to dance around the section, juggling multiple instruments. He finds the wide range of instruments infinitely entertaining and challenging. He is looking forward to continuing to learn as a Percussion Fellow this year.
