Oliver Moore

Oliver Moore is a first-year Piano Fellow at the New World Symphony. He currently serves as the Principal Keyboardist of the Monterey Symphony and has been featured as a concerto soloist with orchestras including the Bear Valley Festival Orchestra, North State Symphony, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra and the SF Conservatory of Music Orchestra under conductor Earl Lee as the winner of the Conservatory’s 2025 Piano Concerto Competition.

He has performed at venues such as the Lied Center of Kansas, the U.S.-Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C., San Francisco War Memorial Performing Arts Center, 405 Shrader Concert Series and the Redlands Bowl as winner of the Redlands Bowl Concerto Competition. 

Oliver completed his undergraduate and graduate studies under pianist Garrick Ohlsson at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He studied with John McCarthy and played in master classes for musicians including Jonathan Biss, Richard Goode and Shai Wosner. As an orchestral keyboardist, Oliver participated in coaching sessions with conductor Michael Tilson Thomas.

Oliver attended the PianoTexas Festival as a Young Artist and in 2023 was featured at the San Francisco Bach Festival in a recital of works and transcriptions by Brahms, Busoni, Liszt and Saint-Saëns inspired by Bach and Handel. Passionate about new music, Oliver has performed works by composers such as Thomas Adès and Morton Feldman. 

Aside from music, Oliver enjoys reading (currently, his favorite author is Thomas Mann), hiking and cooking for friends and family.
