Harper Randolph

Harper Randolph is a second-year Viola Fellow at the New World Symphony. Prior to joining NWS, she held fellowships with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra from 2023-2025 and the Grant Park Music Festival. She has also appeared with the New York Philharmonic as a substitute violist. Other recent engagements include touring with the Sphinx Virtuosi during its 2024-25 season, and performing a viola and cello duo recital with her twin brother, Cole, as part of Festival Napa Valley’s Bouchaine Young Artists Concert Series.

Harper has collaborated with a diverse range of internationally renowned artists such as Stevie Wonder, Ed Sheeran, Giveon and Common. Her recording credits include projects featuring artists such as Teddy Swims and De La Soul. She has attended notable summer festivals including the Banff Evolution Quartet festival, Chautauqua and Voksenhåsen Summer Academy, and performed at acclaimed venues including Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Museum of Art, White House, John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Pálffy Palace in Prague, Czech Republic.

Harper holds degrees from New York University and University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Her teachers include Stephanie Baer, Karen Ritscher and Caroline Coade. She has garnered numerous awards and recognitions including third prize at the 2022 Sphinx Competition and first prize in the 2019 NYU Concerto Competition.
