Christopher Jasiewicz

Christopher Jasiewicz is a first-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. He currently performs in the first violin section of the Boise Philharmonic, recently played with the McCall MusicFest orchestra and was a fellow at the Spoleto USA Festival.

An active and versatile musician, bringing a collaborative approach and wide-ranging orchestral experience, Christopher has performed with various other ensembles, including the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, West Virginia Symphony, Monterey Symphony, Marietta Symphony and Westmoreland Symphony, to name a few.

He also worked with the Aurora Quartet on the San Francisco Symphony's Adventures in Music program, performing in over 100 schools across the Bay Area bringing music to kids of all ages.

Christopher earned his master of music degree and professional studies certificate in violin performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Cordula Merks, and a bachelor of music degree from the Peabody Institute studying with Qing Li.

A Polish American violinist originally from Pittsburgh, Christopher began playing at the age of three, discovering a passion for music through his parent’s love of polka music and traditional Polish mountain music.

Christopher is passionate about storytelling with over 10 years of experience in social media and content creation. He also loves to ski, scuba dive, hike, bike, travel…basically anything out in nature!
