Hyesong Park

Hyesong Park is a first-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. Originally from South Korea, she was a 2025 fellow at the Music Academy of the West and has performed as a member of Orchestra Ensemble Seoul. She also participated in The House Concert's 24-Hour Project.

An active orchestral and chamber musician, Hyesong has performed extensively in string quartet, piano quintet and other chamber music settings during her studies at Juilliard. She received chamber music coaching from renowned artists, including Midori and Zvi Plesser. In South Korea, she has participated in the Seocho Chamber Festival and multiple editions of the Just Vivace Festival. She also attended the Cremona International Music Academy and Festival in 2017.

Hyesong has a master of music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Joseph Lin, and a bachelor of music degree from Seoul National University. She was the recipient of merit-based scholarships from both The Juilliard School and Seoul National University in recognition of her artistic and academic achievements. She was awarded the Grand Prize at the Seongnam Music Competition and was a winner of the Korea Young Artists Competition.

Outside of music, she enjoys running and cooking.
