Morgan Bennett

Morgan Bennett is currently a third-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. Originally from Omaha, NE, she recently completed her master’s degree in Copenhagen at the Royal Danish Academy of Music studying with GRAMMY nominated Norwegian violinist Peter Herresthal. She also holds a bachelor’s degree and graduate diploma from McGill University, where she studied with Jinjoo Cho.

Morgan has performed with many acclaimed ensembles like The Cleveland Orchestra, Danish String Quartet and Copenhagen Philharmonic as well as collaborated with notable soloists such as Jodi Levitz, Christina Åstrand and Andrei Ioniță. She recently spent the 2025 summer playing with the Des Moines Metro Opera. Morgan has also spent time at numerous festivals across North America and Europe, such as the Aspen Music Festival, Danish String Quartet Academy, Spoleto Festival, Saluzzo Opera Academy and the Encore Chamber Music Festival. During her violin studies she had the opportunity to play in master classes for world renowned artists such as Augustin Hadelich, Miriam Fried, Vilde Frang and Arnold Steinhardt.

Morgan has also received many scholarships and awards supporting her musical career including the Helmut Blume Scholarship, Nebraska Young Artist Award and the Omaha Conservatory of Music Merit Scholarship. One of Morgan’s great musical passions is performing the music of female composers, which was initially ignited through her involvement with the Hildegard Project, an organization based in Montreal which promoted the work of female composers through concerts and outreach. When not playing violin, Morgan loves reading the works of Elena Ferrante, hiking in the mountains and spending time with her family.
