Seoho Bang

Seoho Bang is a first-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. She has performed extensively in orchestral and contemporary settings in both South Korea and the United States. In Korea, she was a member of the Arts Symphony Orchestra, performing in a wide range of film and game music projects, which expanded her musical interests beyond the traditional concert repertoire.

Seoho’s festival experiences include the Music Academy of the West, where she was a Violin Fellow and served as Principal Second Violin in 2025, as well as Music in PyeongChang and the DMZ International Music Festival in South Korea. She also participated in the Juilliard Fall Festival. In the United States, she has performed as a substitute violinist with the Minnesota Orchestra and New Jersey Festival Orchestra.

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, she earned her master of music degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with Ronald Copes and Sheryl Staples. She received her bachelor of music degree from Yonsei University, where she studied with Hyeona Kim and served as Concertmaster of the Yonsei Philharmonic Orchestra. At Yonsei University, she also earned a degree through the interdisciplinary Digital Arts program.

Seoho has appeared in a variety of performances and concert settings throughout her studies and professional career, including solo performances at Juilliard Station, Carnegie Hall as part of the Yonsei Alumni Concert and performances with the Yonsei Sinfonietta Orchestra and Seoul Academic Ensemble.
