Yoon Bin Park

Yoon Bin Park is a second-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. She has previously been invited to perform as a section member with various orchestral ensembles including the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Santa Cruz Symphony and the W Symphony Orchestra in South Korea. She recently received her master’s degree and a performance studies certificate at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Ian Swensen, Nancy Zhou and Wonhee Bae. She previously completed her bachelor’s degree at the Eastman School School of Music under the tutelage of Robin Scott.

A passionate chamber musician, Yoon Bin has toured across the United States as a member of the Io Quartet, funded by the University of Rochester. During her time in Rochester and San Francisco, she also had the privilege of working with musicians such as the Ying Quartet, Quator Danel, Telegraph Quartet, Esmé Quartet, Nicholas Mann and Jean-Michel Fontana. In addition to her work in ensembles, Yoon Bin is a dedicated educator, serving as a violin instructor at the Mid-Peninsula Music Academy.

During the summer, Yoon Bin has been a member of various music festivals including Bowdoin International Music Festival, Orford Music Festival, Festival Napa Valley and Interharmony International Music Festival.

Outside of music, Yoon Bin also has a deep interest in psychology, which she studied at the University of Rochester. In her free time she can be found reading books and playing games with her friends.
