Side-by-Side Ensemble and Concerto Competition

New World Symphony (NWS) offers advanced music students the opportunity to participate in its Side-by-Side Ensemble, where they receive one-on-one training and perform alongside NWS Fellows. Students can also audition for the Concerto Competition (optional) and perform during the Side-by-Side Concert.  

Side-by-Side Ensemble auditions are open to advanced string, woodwind, brass and percussion students in grades 7-12.

Applications open in early September

Concerto Competition: January 15, 2027

Final Auditions: February 16, 2027

Welcome Dinner: March 3, 2027

Sectionals: April 1 and April 2, 2027

Rehearsals: April 22 and April 23, 2027

Side-by-Side Dress Rehearsal: April 25, 2027

Side-by-Side Concert: April 25, 2027
