About

Raise a glass and join the party at this musical celebration of Black excellence.

Jessie Mongtomery’s Soul Force runs R&B and Funk rhythms through the orchestra.

Co-commissioned by New World Symphony, Valerie Coleman’s Tracing Visions builds to a juba that asks musicians and concertgoers alike to “cut loose with joy.”

Virtuosic brothers Anthony and Demarre McGill share the stage for the Miami premiere of a new double concerto for flute and clarinet by six-time Grammy-winning composer Billy Childs.

From Afrofuturist comic books to John Henry, composer Carlos Simon’s Folklore Symphony explores Black heroism and storytelling.
